Training FAQ's

We now offer a variety of courses, which you can obtain further information on when you click the enquire now button which details duration of course. Our most popular course is the CBT, which usually just takes 1 day.
We offer an array of options to get you onto a bike, from building confidence for novices to getting you a full licence. We have try Rides starting at £30, up to full licence courses at £790. Our popular CBT is currently £160.00. Further details on the courses available are on our training school provider site when you click on the enquire now button, above.
Yes, you will need your provisional/full driving photocard licence, please note you will need to have good knowledge of the highway code as well for all our courses.
Please note if you do not arrive with appropriate gear which is deemed safe, you will not be able to progress onto the CBT and will need to rebook at your own cost. We require you to bring your own helmet, jacket and gloves. You can purchase these from our store and upon booking, get 20% off full price clothing and helmets for your CBT at the Grafton Motorcycles store. You will need a full face helmet, heavy duty trousers (like thick jeans to protect your legs), and appropriate boots to protect you- further information is below. You will need to wear clothing appropriate for the expected weather conditions – try to dress in layers (T-shirt, shirt or sweat shirt, and jumper for example). This will allow you to be comfortable whatever the weather. You should also wear tough jeans or work trousers and flat boots – preferably ones which come over the ankle. Do not wear fashion boots or boots with higher heels. (E.g.: TIMBERLAND BOOTS) If you need glasses/contact lenses please ensure you have them. If you are not appropriately dressed you will not be allowed to start your training and, if this results in you being unable to complete your course we cannot refund you. The instructor is within his rights to turn you away should you not arrive with the appropriate kit. We have a duty of care to ensure you are safe at our school.
Depending on the course you take, if you are on an all day course, bring a packed lunch and glasses/ contact lenses if you wear them.
